1. You have 14 days to change your mind
You can withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days, without giving a reason. This is your right under forbrugeraftaleloven, which implements the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).
The 14 days run from the day you, or someone you have asked to receive it, takes physical possession of the goods. If your order arrives in several parts, they run from the day the last part arrives.
2. How to withdraw
Tell us before the 14 days are up. An email is enough:
- ride@bycycle.bike, subject "Return, order #[your order number]"
Write your name, address, order number and what you are returning. You can use the standard withdrawal form at the bottom of this page, but you do not have to. We confirm by email the same or the next working day.
3. Sending it back
Once you have told us, you have another 14 days to send the goods back.
Return address:
Bycycle ApS
Brandstrupsgade 10, 2. tv
9000 Aalborg
Denmark
Send the bike back in its original box where you still have it, with the charger, keys, manuals and any accessories that came with it. Use a service with tracking. Until the bike reaches us it is your responsibility, so a lost return without tracking is hard for either of us to sort out.
A bike cannot go back by ordinary post. You arrange the return shipment yourself and pay what it costs. If you would rather we booked the freight for you, email us and we arrange it and deduct the actual cost from your refund. Accessories can be returned by ordinary post at your own cost.
4. Your refund
We refund everything you have paid, including the standard delivery you paid on the way out, within 14 days of receiving the goods back or seeing proof that you have sent them, whichever comes first. The money goes back to the card or account you paid from.
If you chose a delivery option that costs more than our standard one, we refund the standard cost.
You may handle and inspect the bike the way you would in a shop. If it has been used beyond that and has lost value as a result, we may deduct what the loss is worth. Riding it around the block is fine. Riding it for a week is not.
5. When the right of withdrawal does not apply
It does not apply to sealed goods that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once opened.
It does apply to every bike we sell. Choosing your battery, colour and accessories from the options we offer does not make a bike personalised, so building it to order takes nothing away from your 14 days.
6. Your 2-year right to complain
Under købeloven, which implements the EU Sale of Goods Directive (2019/771), you have a 2-year right to complain from the day the bike is delivered. It covers manufacturing faults and anything that was not as agreed at delivery. It does not cover wear, crash damage, or a battery that has aged normally.
If a fault shows up in the first year, we have to prove it was not there at delivery. After that, you may be asked to show that it was.
To make a claim, email ride@bycycle.bike with your order number, what is wrong, and a photo or short video where that helps. We cover the freight both ways on a valid claim.
This is your right by law. Any guarantee we offer on top of it is written down separately and can only give you more, never less.
7. If your order arrives faulty or wrong
Email ride@bycycle.bike with a photo. Tell us as soon as you notice, and keep the packaging until the case is closed. We collect the item and either replace it or refund you, at no cost to you.
Telling us quickly helps us handle it with the carrier, but it is not a deadline. Your rights under section 6 apply whenever the fault turns up.
8. Reservations
A 500 kr reservation is fully refundable and is deducted from the price of your bike. Change your mind before the bike is dispatched and we return it in full, no reason needed. Email ride@bycycle.bike.
9. Batteries
A lithium-ion battery must never go in your household waste. Hand it in at a recycling station or a shop that takes batteries back.
You can also send it to us or hand it to us at a service visit, and we deal with it. Email ride@bycycle.bike first, because a battery has to be packed correctly to travel.
10. Complaints
Write to ride@bycycle.bike first.
If we cannot agree, you can take the case to the Danish public consumer complaints system:
- Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager and Forbrugerklagenævnet, at Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg. File a complaint at naevneneshus.dk
- General guidance for consumers: forbrug.dk

Only fill this in if you want to withdraw from the contract. An ordinary email works just as well.
