1. Who you are buying from
These terms cover every purchase made through bycycle.bike. The agreement is between you and:
Bycycle ApS
CVR-nummer: 46402189
Brandstrupsgade 10, 2. tv
9000 Aalborg, Denmark
Email: ride@bycycle.bike
Phone: +45 61 60 61 60
2. Products
We sell electric bikes and accessories for them. Our e-bikes are built to the EN 15194 standard for electrically power assisted cycles, with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h, and are legal to ride on public roads in Denmark and the EU.
Photos and specifications describe the product as accurately as we can. If something on the site turns out to be wrong, it does not bind you to a purchase you did not want.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Danish kroner and include any tax that applies. Delivery is added at checkout, so you see the full total before you confirm the order.
If a price is obviously wrong, we will tell you before we process the order and you can cancel it.
Payment methods are shown at checkout. You can pay for the bike in full, or reserve one first.
4. Reserving a bike
A reservation costs 500 kr. It holds your place in the current build run and is deducted from the price of the bike.
The reservation is fully refundable. If you change your mind at any point before your bike is dispatched, email us and we return the 500 kr in full. This is on top of your right of withdrawal in section 7, not instead of it.
When your bike is ready to be built, we send an invoice for the rest of the price. You can pay it by card or by bank transfer. We start the build once the balance is paid.
5. Order confirmation
You receive an email confirmation after ordering. That confirmation is our acceptance of your order and forms the contract. If we cannot fulfil an order, we tell you and refund everything you have paid.
6. Delivery
Every bike is built to order, so allow about 5 working days for the build. Transport takes 2 to 4 working days within Denmark. Deliveries to other countries take longer, and the estimate for your address is shown at checkout. Accessories ordered on their own ship faster.
Where we deliver, and what it costs, is shown at checkout. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
In Denmark you choose at checkout how your bike arrives: boxed and around 80% assembled, or fully assembled and ready to ride.
The bike is our responsibility until you have it. Risk passes to you when you, or someone you have asked to receive it, takes physical possession of the goods.
If we are running late, tell us and we will agree a new date. If we miss that date too, you can cancel the order and get your money back.
7. Right of withdrawal
You have 14 days to change your mind, without giving a reason. How it works, and how to return a bike, is set out in our Return and Refund Policy.
8. If something is wrong with your bike
You have a 2-year right to complain (reklamationsret) under the Danish Sale of Goods Act, købeloven. It covers manufacturing faults and anything that was not as agreed when the bike was delivered. Section 6 of our Return and Refund Policy explains how to make a claim.
9. Liability
We are liable for our own mistakes under Danish law. We are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost earnings or lost time.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under købeloven or forbrugeraftaleloven, our liability for personal injury, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Intellectual property
Everything on bycycle.bike, including text, images, logos and design, belongs to Bycycle ApS or our licensors. You need our written permission to reproduce or reuse it.
11. Your data
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, in line with the GDPR. When you order, we use your data to fulfil that order.
12. Law and complaints
Danish law applies. If something goes wrong, write to ride@bycycle.bike first.
If we cannot agree, you can take the case to the Danish public consumer complaints system:
- Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager and Forbrugerklagenævnet, at Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg. File a complaint at naevneneshus.dk
- General guidance for consumers: forbrug.dk
13. Changes to these terms
We can update these terms. The version live when you place your order is the one that applies to it.
